Jeff is a Director of China Digital and is responsible for the client relationship.

He believes that while the traditional travel agent / wholesaler distribution channels have their place, the best way to access the Chinese consumer (and make money) is to take your message direct.


He has over 30 years experience in the Tourism industry and has worked in senior management roles for major tourism organisations including Accor Asia Pacific, Australian Pacific Tours, AAT Kings Tours and Great Southern Railway. Drawing on his extensive sales and marketing experience, Jeff manages the client relationships, customer experience and content development roles in the business.

He has over 20 years experience in International Marketing for large (and small) Australian tourism organisations. Jeff is a highly regarded communicator that can do the near impossible – demystify the China market for your tourism organisation!

Annette Sharp
Strategy & Research


Annette is the Head of Strategy and Research. Having worked in Cultural and digital marketing for 25 years, she believes China is the most fertile opportunity for the Australian tourism industry in decades. Her 25 year background in media, multi-cultural marketing, research and digital technology brings a consumer-centric focus to the agency.

She has worked for major Australian media and advertising agency groups, at one stage heading up the multicultural division of the Master Media Agency for the Victorian State Government. Annette’s knowledge of the Chinese FIT market and their love of technology during travel has formed the foundation of many presentations, panels and workshops relating to the China market.

Melissa Carney

Graduating in 1993 from Monash University in Melbourne with a Bachelor of Business Systems, Melissa has worked in the IT industry for over 20 years.

With a programming and project management background, she brings strong technical, analytical, design and communication skills to the team.

Melissa has been project managing and overseeing the technical design of our digital projects for over two years.

Li (Tracy) Xiaomeng
Senior Translator


Tracy is originally from Beijing, China. She has a Bachelor of Tourism from the Capital University of Economics and Business in China and a Masters of Tourism from Monash University in Melbourne.

She has worked for tourism businesses in both China and Australia.


Her previous employers include Intrepid Travel, Chinese Culture Centre and Palicon Tours (a local operator for Chinese travellers).

Tracy is also an accredited translator through the National Accreditation Authority of Translators and Interpreters (NAATI).

Ying Wang

Ying came to Australia in 2002 from Wuhan, China. She has a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Melbourne.

A keen linguist, Ying obtained her Advanced Diploma of Translating from the Australian Institute of Translation and Interpretation, and is accredited through the National Accreditation Authority of Translators and Interpreters (NAATI).


Ying is also a violinist, an avid traveller and has worked as a tour guide for Australian companies in China.

Emma Xing

Emma is originally from Beijing, China. She is well travelled and worked as a tour guide in China before moving to Australia.

In 2011, Emma obtained a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Sydney and has completed an Advanced Diploma of Translating from the Abbey College Australia. She is accredited through the National Accreditation Authority of Translators and Interpreters (NAATI).

Emma has also worked as a tour guide in Sydney.

Travel Researcher (China)

Based in China, Claire has a bachelor degree of Tourism and International Hospitality Management from Tianjin University of Finance and Economics in China.

She has worked extensively in the tourism industry, including roles at travel agencies, travel operators, cruise companies, theme parks, a travel design company and a travel magazine. Claire has worked and lived in China, the US and Europe.

Her love of travel has seen her visit over 20 countries worldwide and to the majority of the provinces in China. She comes to us with an in depth knowledge of Chinese culture.

Graphic Designer

Chris is a designer with extraordinary cross-cultural skills.

Born in Shanghai, China, Chris came to us with eight years’ experience as the Head Graphic Designer of international commercial publications in many languages.

She can turn her hand at design and layout, illustration, hand painting and logo design, with a deep understanding of colour perception and design principles required for Chinese collateral.

Lisa Grant
Chinese Social Media

Lisa began work in the IT industry in 1993, after completing a Bachelor of Information Technology at Swinburne University.

She started as a computer programmer, and worked her way through to project management and programme support roles, across a number of different organisations within Australia, Asia and the UK.

In 2009, Lisa discovered a love for social media, and has since been working directly with a number of local businesses to increase their visibility and presence through social media marketing strategies. She has also developed a large community-based social media group, linking local community and business together, and provides a substantial and effective resource for business networking and social media marketing.

Lisa has 3 young children, and balances her time between family, work and voluntary roles within the local community.

IT Operations Manager

Rachel is our Operations Manager and has worked in the IT industry since completing a bachelor of business systems at Monash University in 1998.

Her experience includes programming, data warehousing and team lead roles. Rachel’s strong organisational, communication and leadership skills lead her to project management. She has had much success managing IT projects in the financial services industry.

Maddy Duggan
Office Manager

As our Office Manager, Maddy Duggan is responsible for looking after the day to day running of the office, as well as all accounts.

Since completing her Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management and Tourism, Maddy has worked in a variety of roles within both hotels and events management.


Maddy’s strong organisational skills along with many years’ experience in Sales and Marketing within the tourism sector mean that she has a great understanding of the importance of communicating with our clients, suppliers and staff.
